Xiaomi might be an ace player in capturing hearts of its customers in a short span of time, but when it comes to organizing an event, the company seems to have invited a wrath.
On Saturday, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was exquisitely set up for the grand launch of the Xiaomi Mi Max phablet, but what soon followed there wasn’t exactly like what was planned. The event was challenged with serious space constraints at the venue as about 2000 so called ‘Xiaomi fans’ thronged in for the occasion.
The crowd got highly agitated and disappointed as their friends or relatives weren’t allowed an entry to the event. Moreover, the free t-shirts and other goodies that the company had promised to give away at the launch couldn’t reach all the fans which furthered the rage. Manu Jain, the head of Xiaomi India tried to address the issue and calm the situation, but with no good. Finally the police had to be called in to control the chaos.
The Xiaomi Mi Max phablet, launched at the event, is claimed to be the first mobile phone with 6.44 inch display.
